Our Origins
FNGI was born out of a deep-rooted passion for mycology and a respect for nature. Over the years, we’ve visited many mushroom farms, factories, and extraction facilities across Japan, China, Taiwan, and other parts of Asia. These trips allowed us to gain first-hand insight into every step of the process — from substrate preparation and cultivation to large-scale extraction and formulation.
One of the most impactful experiences was learning directly from a Japanese expert whose detailed methods for cultivating and extracting mushrooms left a lasting mark on how we work today. These encounters helped shape our philosophy: combining the technical precision and depth of East Asian mushroom traditions with clean, transparent European production standards.
From our farm in the Flevoland countryside, we now craft high-quality mushroom extracts using traditional Japanese extraction techniques, adapted for modern standards. Every bottle tells a story — from fruiting body to final product — with attention to origin, method, and intention.
